The realme Watch does not actually offer something new in the world of
smartwatches, it has the key features that you would normally found on other
smart wearables out there, but what makes it so unique is its pricing. For
its price tag of less than Php4K, realme is bringing the premium smartwatch
experience to more and more Filipinos most especially in the budget segment,
and that's actually super good.
For example, the realme Watch is equipped with SpO2 monitor which enables
users to monitor or measure their blood oxygen level, this particular feature
is normally found on much pricier smartwatches. And then of course, there is
the usual monitors like heart rate, sleep, walk, as well as idle alert
feature.
It can track 14 sports modes like biking, yoga, elliptical, indoor cycling,
badminton and more. Smart Notifications is also part of the party where users
can set up to receive messages or app notifications from their smartphone to
their Watch and that includes incoming calls. There is no build-in speaker
though so when it comes to incoming calls, you can just reject it without the
need to pull out your phone from your pocket or bag.
Apart from the design and interchangeable straps that will soon be available
for purchase to add more style to the Watch, there are two other features that
many users will find very useful on their day-to-day smartphone lifestyle -
Music Control and Camera Control. These will enable them to control music
playback on their smartphone using the watch as well as a remote camera
shutter for taking photos using their paired smartphone.
As for its battery life, it packs 190mAh which according to realme can last up
to 7 days with the heart rate monitor turned on which works on a five-minute
interval. Turning that off, can last the battery life for up to additional two
days. And if you want to stretch the battery juice even longer, there is a
Power Saving Mode that offers life up to 20 days on a single charge.
