Realme Watch is now finally official

The company's first smartwatch, simply called the Realme Watch, is now finally launched. Through a livestream launch event in India, the brand has officially introduced its newest member of its growing internet-of-things (IoT) offerings. It will be initially released in India starting next month. Hopefully more markets will follow soon. 

Similar to many smartwatches around, the Realme Watch offers a mix of fitness and smart features from heart rate, sleep, and SpO2 monitoring, down to activity tracking like walking, running, meditating, and more. The Watch can also receive notifications from your phone such as calls, SMS or chat messaging. What's more, users can also use the Watch to control music playback on their phone as well as a remote camera shutter for their smartphone. 

At launch, there will be 12 watch faces to choose from in the companion Realme Link app. Realme says over 100 watch faces will be released soon via OTA. The accessory itself, measures 1.4-inch with touch enabled display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected with 2.5D curved glass. Its resolution equates to 320x320 with 323 ppi and 380 nits brightness. 

Inside the Realme Watch is a 190mAh battery that according to the company can last a user up to 7 days with the heart rate monitor turned on which monitors heart rate every five minutes. Turning the heart rate monitor off, the device can last up to 9 days. There is also Power Saving Mode, this one can offer battery life of up to 20 days on a single charge.

And then out of the box, the wearable will come with a pair of "Classic Strap". But Realme also revealed that optional "Fashion Straps" will be available soon in red, green, and blue color options for Rs 499 each (Php335).

Th Realme Watch is officially priced in India at only Rs 3,999 or about Php2,700 when converted to Philippine peso. The watch will go on sale via Flipkart on June 5th. As for its local release, we don't have a word yet coming from Realme Philippines, but hopefully this will also be coming here just like so many of its products already.
