Mi 10 vs Mi 10 Pro

Together with the surprise announcement of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G, the company has officially and formally unveiled its new flagship offerings for the year, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. These phones were initially launched and released exclusively in China about a month ago. And now, the company is bringing these phones to the rest of the world starting with the European market.

They share a lot of same specs

Both of the devices share a lot of technical specs and features with slight variations in the camera, storage and battery sizes. For example, the phones share the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display panel with 1080p resolution and the same faster 90Hz refresh rate. Being AMOLED panel, Xiaomi made sure to also throw in an in-display fingerprint sensor into the mix. 

The processor is also a common thing between the two, which is the latest and most powerful Qualcomm processor yet - Snapdragon 865 with 5G modem. Yes both devices will support 5G network. In terms of RAM, both will offer 8GB of RAM, no other configurations. But for storage, the Mi 10 will have 128GB and 256GB versions whereas the Mi 10 Pro only with 256GB. These storages now sport UFS 3.0 which is much better and faster in terms of read and write speed. For the software, both are equipped with EMUI 11 version of the OS based on the current Android 10. 

Of course the design and built are the same for the two as well. 

Camera

Thankfully, the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro also share almost the same camera configurations. In the camera department, both devices are equipped with the same Samsung HMX 108MP primary camera with varying three other accompanying lenses. The main sensor is capable of 4:1 pixel binning technology resulting to a detail-rich 27MP photo. The selfie camera is also the same at 20MP. 

The Mi 10 has 13MP for the ultrawide, 2MP for macro and another 2MP for portrait. On the Mi 10 Pro, it packs a 20MP secondary sensor with ultrawide angle. The 12MP and 8MP cameras are with telephoto lenses and are capable of up to 5X optical zoom. 

The differences

In addition to the native storage, two of the big differences between the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro are found in the battery department. The Pro variant has a 4500mAh and a super fast 50W fast charger while the non-Pro has much bigger batter and slower fast charge, 4780mAh and 30W, respectively.

Pricing

The Mi 10 is priced at 799 euros for the 8GB+128GB and the Mi 10 Pro at 999 euros for 8GB+256GB model. Converting these SRPs to Philippine peso, that's going to be around Php46,000 and Php57,000, respectively.
