Samsung has its first smartphone for 2023 officially launched, it's not a flagship or upper midrange one though, but a standard mid-ranger yet 5G-ready Samsung Galaxy A14. From its predecessor, the Galaxy A13 5G, there's just incremental upgrades for this year. So don't expect too much from this device, but it's nice to know that it is one of the first phone to launch with Android 13 and OneUI 5.0 running out of the box.
In addition to the operating system, the other significant upgrade we see on this phone over the Galaxy A13 5G predecessor is on the display. From 720p 90Hz display, the Galaxy A14 5G now has Full HD+ LCD panel with 90Hz refresh rate.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, the phone still packs a triple rear camera with 50MP main, two 2MP shooters with macro and depth sensors. On the front is a 13MP selfie camera. It comes in four color options namely black, silver, dark red, and light green.
It is good to note as well that Samsung will provide this device with up to four years of security updates and up to two major OS updates.
