HONOR Philippines just announced that the HONOR X9a 5G sporting a curved OLED display is launching locally on January 19, 2023. This is going to be the first smartphone that the brand will bring in the Philippine market this year. This device was initially teased a few days ago with a photo where a portion of the device is being shown with extremely thin bezels and curved screen. And that phone is none other than this 5G-ready HONOR X9a.
"We are very excited to introduce HONOR X9a 5G in the market. It's something that HONOR fans should definitely look forward to as it will really change the definition of premium," said HONOR Philippines Vice President for Marketing, Stephen Cheng. "HONOR is very confident to bring you a highly durable phone with an OLED curved screen and long-lasting battery life without breaking the bank."
In addition to the device's curved OLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate, another feature that HONOR is highlighting on this phone is its long-lasting 5100mAh battery that promises to last up to two days on a single charge. And when charged, 5 minutes charging time can provide up to 12.5 hours of video streaming. So there is fast charging tech in there as well.
Remember that iconic circular camera module from the recent Magic Series? HONOR is bringing that same feature with symmetrical Matrix Star Ring design with the HONOR X9a. That makes the device look even more premium. That rear camera system sports 64MP Super Triple Camera, as what HONOR calls it.
This 5G-ready HONOR X9a will be available in two premium-looking colors namely Emerald Green and Titanium Silver. No Midnight Black variant, unfortunately. Maybe it will arrive later on, we don't know.
