The much hyped OnePlus Nord midrange smartphone is now finally and officially launched. Read more here.
For a start, the OnePlus Nord offers a nice 6.44-inch Fluid AMOLED panel
with full HD+ (2400 x 1080) resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate out of
the box. Being an AMOLED device, OnePlus threw in an under-display fingerprint
reader to make it even cooler and more premium.
One of the exciting specs of the OnePlus Nord is its processor, it packs
Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor from Qualcomm. Not only that it is a
powerful midrange processor, it also supports 5G network connectivity. This
will be a new addition to the growing number of non-flagship 5G-equipped
smartphones in the market, which makes it one of the best and most affordable
5G-ready devices, too. In terms of RAM and ROM, it will be available in 8GB
RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variations, there is no microSD card
support though. Sadly, 3.5mm audiojack port is not present on this one as
well. But it has USB Type-C, which is always nice to have.
On thew rear, the OnePlus Nord sports quad camera set up all stacked on top of
each other. The main sensor offers a 48MP shooter with Sony IMX586 sensor, and
then there's the now becoming standard 8MP (ultrawide), 5MP (depth), and 2MP
(macro) shooters. As for seflie needs, there is a dual front camera in a
pill-shaped cutout featuring 32MP and 8MP lenses with Sony IMX616 sensor.
Thankfully, it does not sport waterdrop notch anymore.
The phone will come in two color options, Gray Onyx and Blue Marble. On the
inside is a 4115mAh battery with 30W Warp Charger that promises to provide 70%
battery life in 30 minutes charging.
