While the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is definitely one of the most anticipated smart
bands this time of the year, there are actually very limited information known
about it, at least the official ones. But if we take a look at the rumor mill,
there we can find that the Mi Band 5 is expected to sport new and upgraded
features such as a much bigger OLED display from 0.95-inch to 1.2-inch with
much thinner bezels. New type of charger is also expected to arrive with this
wearable.
Also, it is reported that the band will now have SpO2 sensor that monitors
oxygen level in the blood in addition to the heart rate and sleep monitoring
features. Menstrual cycle tracker is expected to be added as well in this
fitness tracker. Additionally, it is said that the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 will
have a new feature that will allow users to use it a remote camera shutter for
their smartphone. Then there is also an Alexa and NFC support for its
international version, reports added.
Some websites like the TizenHelp, are reporting that this upcoming Mi Band 5
will now have 5 additional fitness trackers - Yoga, Ellitical, Rowing Machine,
Jumping Rope, and Indoor Cycling.
Of course these are still unconfirmed reports up until today, except the Mi
Band 5's launch date. So that being said, let's take it with a grain of salt
until Xiaomi officially launches the fitness tracker and reveals its features
as well as the pricing.
Stay tuned for more details.
