Wage Subsidies and Loans from SSS can now be Received via PayMaya

PayMaya and SSS have teamed up to help workers receive their wage subsidies and loan proceeds conveniently vai PayMaya account. Read more here.

Thanks to the recent PayMaya and SSS partnership, employees who are qualified for the government's Small Business Wage Subsidy (SBWS) program and some other loan applications through the Social Security System agency can now receive their funds directly to their PayMaya account. The application period for this subsidy has been extended until May 8, 2020. Once the cash is received via PayMaya, they can encash via ATM machines using their physical PayMaya card or by simply going to any of the more than 30,000 Smart Padala Centers nationwide. 

All the employees have to do is provide their mobile number associated with their PayMaya account to their employers who will then enroll it to be linked to SSS once they receive access to the SBWS application portal. 

If you don't have a PayMaya account yet, you can sign up for one by downloading the app from the App Store or Google Play and register using your mobile number, name, and email address. Once registered, make sure that you upgrade or verify your account. Simply follow the steps below laid out for us by PayMaya on how to upgrade. 

Once enrolled or your PayMaya account is linked to SSS, loan proceeds and wage subsidies can now be disbursed to your PayMaya account once the funds are available. Wage subsidies and loan applications are subject to approval of SSS and based on eligibility of employees after application has been submitted by their respective employers.
