Realme has quietly unveiled its upcoming smartwatch offering days prior to its official launch in India. Read more here.
This is the Realme Watch
As we know, Realme is set to finally launch its upcoming smartwatch and smartTV offerings through a digital launch event to be held in India. And while the event is not going to happen until May 25, Realme has already decided to reveal key features and the official looks of the Realme Watch on its Indian website. And boy does it look familiar and exciting at the same time. Hopefully this will be released in the Philippines too like what the brand recently did with the Realme Band (read hands-on review here).
Design-wise and like many other smartwatches around from big and small-time
players, the Realme Watch appears to take a lot of inspirations from Apple
Watch, not just for the watch itself but also for its removable strap. And
speaking of straps, they are interchangeable. The Watch will ship with the
"Classic Strap" while an optional and separately sold "Fashion Strap" will be
released soon after. From the looks of it, the Classic Strap will be in black
while the Fashion Strap will be in available in red, green, and blue color
options. Where's the yellow?
Some cool features
Some of the revealed key features of the Realme Watch includes what the brand
calls the Intelligent Activity Tracker. This tracker supports 14 activities or
sports modes such as basketball, fitness, walk, run, yoga, bike, table tennis,
among many others.
Also, there will be a 24/7 Health Assistant on the Realme Watch which tracks
the user's heart rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2) in real time.
And then similar to what we have on the Realme Band, the Watch will also be
equipped with Smart Notification feature. This will allow users to set up
alerts like incoming calls as well as message notifications from popular apps
like Facebook, Messenger, SMS, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter and even Tiktok to
name a few. There is also the Idle and Drink Water notifications as shown in
the website.
The Music Control and Camera Control features will definitely be some of the
most used functions on the Watch for music and selfie lovers. These features
will enable users to control music on their phones through the Watch such as
playback, backtrack, pause, and even adjust the volume. For the camera, they
can use the Realme Watch as a remote clicker to take photos on their
smartphones.
Like with the Realme Buds Air and Realme Band, the Realme Watch will also work
with the Realme Link App for additional controls, settings, and health data
reporting.
