Finally, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are now officially launched. The devices offer unsubstantial upgrades from the previous generations, most especially the Pro variant. The phones come in multiple stunning colorways but in terms of physical designs, they pretty much look the same. Surprisingly, OnePlus did not opt for a circular or rectangular camera modules on its back despite having one from the last iteration last year. Instead, the triple camera on the 8 and quad camera on the 8 Plus are all stacked on each other vertically.
Like many other flagship smartphones around, these new OnePlus devices are also equipped with higher refresh rates. The standard one with 6.55-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED has 90Hz, and the Pro model sporting 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED panel got a much higher 120Hz refresh rate. On the inside, both phones are powered by the brand new and flagship Snapdragon 865 processors paired with Adreno 650 GPU. As for memory and storage, each will be released in 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB.
They also got fast charging too through Warp Charge technology at 30W each. However, only the Pro model has the Wireless Charging at the same 30W speed. And in order for users to experience this ultra fast wireless charging, they would need to purchase the separately sold 30W Warp Charge wireless charger for $69.95. They can still use third party wireless chargers but it's not going to maximize the 30W rate. Also, the Pro has the IP68 water and dust resistance.
The OnePlus 8 is priced at $699 (Php35,500) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB variant while the 12GB+256GB model is for $799 (Php40,500).

Both of the phones together with the optional wireless charging pad are now
available in the US for pre-order via OnePlus.com and Amazon with shipping to
begin on April 29.
