Dune is one of my most awaited upcoming movies from Warner Bros, not just because it is based on Frank Herbert's novel series of the same name, but also because it is being directed by Denis Villeneuve. He is the same director behind the most recent Blade Runner 2049 installment with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, also he directed Sicario and Arrival films. And the way he created the world of Blade Runner back to life using modern technology, I am pretty sure his Dune adaption will be as epic both storyline and cinematography wise.
As per the movie synopsis released by the studio, Dune will tell the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people.
Speaking of the main character in the film, Warner Bros also released a first photo of Timothee Chamalet as Paul Atreides in the movie through Vanity Fair. See below.
This will be the second movie adaptation of Dune. The first one was made in 1984 by David Lynch but the novel itself was first released in 1965 written by Frank Herbert.
