Angry Birds animated series in the works at Netflix

Entitled Angry Birds: Summer Madness, streaming giant Netflix has just officially revealed that it has ordered an animated series based on the iconic birds-versus-pigs mobile game. To make this a reality, Netflix is partnering up with Cake and Rovio Entertainment and is planning to release it on their platform for global subscribers sometime in 2021.

Netflix said that the series will consist of 40 episodes. Each episode will have 11-minute running time and will take on the comedic tone inspired by the Angry Birds universe.  The entire series will follow the story revolving these much-loved characters from the film franchise named Red, Bomb, and Chuck.

While we wait for Angry Birds: Summer Madness' 2021 release, for now we can watch an Angry Birds movie released in 2018 on the streaming platform.
