Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is a success in the Philippines

Samsung started accepting pre-orders for the foldable Galaxy Z Flip smartphone a few days ago and in just about three days, pre-order units have already sold out, Samsung Philippines announced. Locally launched alongside the Galaxy S20 series, this foldable device bears a Php79,990 sticker price. For that price and for a relatively brand new folding smartphone category, that is quite an impressive achievement.

Samsung Philippines' Business Unit Head of IT and Mobile Jerry Mañus commented, "All the excitement surrounding the Galaxy Z Flip proved that there is a strong desire for a new mobile experience that offers both style and function."

For those who were able to pre-order, Samsung will start releasing the units on February 21. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is released in two color variants - Mirror Black and Mirror Purple. As of writing, it is not confirmed yet is Samsung will still release additional units in the coming days or weeks.
