First Transformers: War for Cybertron teaser trailer is here
Last year, Netflix announced that they were developing a three-part Transformers anime series. Today, the streaming giant just released the first teaser clip for the Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy. This is the first part of the trilogy series and is entitled "Siege". In here we see the Autobots and Decepticons fighting one another in the final hours of civil war on their home planet Cybertron. Watch it below.Transformers: War for Cybertron's first part subtitled Siege will consist of six episodes following the events on planet Cybertron. Each episode lasts about 22 minutes. The second installment will be called "Earthrise" possibly taking place on Earth with the humans while the last one's title is not revealed yet.
What's nice about this animated series is the companies behind it decided to use the Transformers Generation 1 for its designs and characters. That's something that fans of the original series have been wanting to see since Michael Bay's works on the franchise for the big screen.
Release date?
As of posting, there is no exact date yet as to when Netflix will release the War for Cybertron trilogy on their streaming platform. All we know is that it is going to be out sometime this year. Hopefully it is sooner than expected because I am just so excited see Netflix's job on this one.This anime series is developed by Netflix in partnership with Hasbro and Rooster Teeth.
