The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Coming to Nintendo Switch Pricing and Release Date Revealed


One of the most successful raking in more than 250 game of the year awards and the most anticipated games developed by CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has just been officially confirmed to be coming to the Nintendo Switch console. This news has been around for a while now where tons of unconfirmed reports were being published about the game's eventual arrival to the handheld gaming console, today it has been finally confirmed through an announcement at Gamescom 2019.

Not just The Witcher 3's arrival to Switch was announced, but also the exact date as to when Nintendo Switch users will be able to start playing it on their device. It will be available beginning October 15, 2019 and it will cost $60 for the one and only package version called the Complete Edition. The Complete Edition, aside from the copy of the game itself, will also include two DLC expansions titled Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, 16 DLC items, a map, and a compendium.

And as expected, players will still be able to play the Witcher 3 on the Switch console as well as on a TV or bigger monitor when docked. It's just important to note that when in the Switch mode, the resolution of the game will be defaulted to 450p while it's going to be 720p when docked and connected to the TV.
