All Realme Smartphones Will Get Android 9 Pie Update

Good news, realme fans and users! If you own one of the previous models of realme smartphones listed below, you will definitely be happy to know that they will real soon be updated to the Android 9 Pie mobile operating system with also-the-latest ColorOS 6 in the mix. realme CEO Madhav Sheth himself made the announcement on his Twitter account.

realme has just revealed that they will start rolling out beta testing versions of the Android 9 Pie for the following smartphones starting this week. The Chinese company also mentioned that the more stable and official version of the Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 for these devices will be rolled out, in phased manner, about 15 to 20 days after this beta version.

Not every one of these will be updated all at the same time though. The realme 2 Pro for example, is currently scheduled to receive its update this coming May 15. Then the realme 1 and realme U1 on June 5, and then the realme 2 and the C1 should have theirs as early as June 15.

The ColorOS 6 update will also include Digital Wellbeing and Hyper Boost 2.0 features. While the realme 3 and realme 3 Pro come pre-installed with this latest software versions, the phones will still receive new updates but more on the camera side of things such as improvements on the Chroma Boost and Nightscape as well as on Slow-mo video.
