Alongside the much anticipated Realme 3 Pro, the Chinese company also launched the Realme C2 smartphone. In case you wonder, yes this is a direct successor to the C1 phone. Hence, it is still a budget friendly smartphone with quite powerful specs and nice design right out of the box.
One of the newest features we can immediately notice with the Realme C2 is the back panel design which the company calls the Diamond-Cut Design. This finish, as the company claims, will be a smudge-free panel and that's quite nice to hear considering that most of their recent offerings come with glossy plastic rear cover that is smudge-hungry all the time. It will be available in two different colors simply called Diamond Black and Diamond Blue.
On its front panel we can also see some new design changes. First is the exclusion of the traditional notch found on the C1 that's similar to the iPhone X, in place of that we now have the waterdrop notch design, similar to the Realme 3 series. That cutout holds the 5MP selfie camera, while on the back is dual 13MP + 2MP shooters. There is no fingerprint scanner in sight and its impossible to be an in-display implementation either for its specs and price point, so it's going to be a Face Unlock for security feature similar to its predecessor, the C1.
Another upgrade here versus its predecessor is found on the software, it runs on the super latest Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6 on top. The same mobile operating system found on the Realme 3 and the Realme 3 Pro. There's dual 4G SIM support and a dedicated microSD card slot that can hold up to 256GB in size. Speaking of storage, there will be two versions of it, one in 2GB + 16GB and another in 3GB + 32GB variants. And then keeping the lights on is a massive 4000mAh battery pack.
