Samsung Unveils the Midrangers Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50

While the latest Galaxy S10 series and the foldable Galaxy Fold smartphones are Samsung's real scene stealers at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, they are not the only phones the South Korean have in store for us this time of the year. Mid-range smartphones are still a big thing over at Samsung and that's why they just announced two new more. These devices are the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50.

The naming should already give you hints which is superior and which one offers a little less. One of their main differences is in the camera department. The Galaxy A30 will be equipped with dual rear camera setup pegged at 16MP + 5MP sensor combo while the Galaxy A50 will be mounted with three, 25MP + 5MP + 8MP shooters. The selfie cameras are also exciting on each of these devices, the A30 houses 16MP front camera and 25MP on the A50. Both cameras are situated on the screen's Infinity-U notch.

Interestingly though, both of these smartphone will have the same screen size at 6.4 inches with full HD+ AMOLED resolution (2340 x 1080). Storage and memory wise, each of these will come in two configurations. On the Galaxy A30, users will have 3GB RAM/32GB ROM and 4GB RAM/64GB ROM on the table to choose from and the Galaxy A50 will come in 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variants. A microSD card can also be used up to 512GB.

Fingerprint sensor is also present on both phones. The difference is that while the A30 will have a traditional back-mounted reader, the A50 will have its print scanner right in the display. Face Unlock features will be there too as an alternative. Similar to the screen size, the battery size will remain the same as well for the devices at 4000mAh with fast charge system.

Pricing and availability are yet to be announced by Samsung. So stay tuned for that.
