Samsung Electronics has just confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy S9 smartphone will be announced on Feb 25. Read more here.
It is official! The South Korean giant, Samsung Electronics, will finally launch the much awaited Galaxy S9 flagship smartphone on February 25, 2018!
According to the invitation the company has just sent out to media outlets and bloggers, the Unpacked 2018 event, where the Galaxy S9 announcement will happen, will take place a day before the official kick off of this year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) conference in Barcelona, Spain.
MWC is an annual tech expo that happens in the region where brands showcase, launch, and announce their mobile-related products such as smartphones. Samsung has always been a part (except last year) and major player in this event each year revealing their latest flagship devices under the S series.
In the invite material that was sent out, no other possible hints or cryptic messages have been added except for the fact that users and fans can expect a much better camera performance this time around, thanks to the "Camera. Reimagined" written on the invite.
Rumors and leaks are somehow already confirmed by this invite material where they claim that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus might not sport brand new looks in terms of the outside appearance, meaning these two will look very similar to last year's Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, only with minor tweaks. And that in the camera and software department we will see major upgrades. We could be having a dual-camera equipped S9 Plus version here if some of the rumors are accurate.
We will learn more about these phones as we get closer to the launch date and as more and more leaks flood the internet.
