Looks like Smart Bro is killing off the Flexitime prepaid data bundle after years of being offered to its subscribers. Read more here.
Are you one of those Smart Bro prepaid users who have been enjoying the time-based usage data bundle called Flexitime for years now? Well, there is a bit of a sad news for you as per discovery by our friends from RonNotTheDJBlog earlier today.
Right after he registered to the Smart Flexitime 100, he got the following message saying that the service will no longer be offered starting August 30, 2017 and was offered to switch to GigaSurf instead in the future.

While that is the reminder sent to subscribers via sms when they register to the said bundle, Smart's website still offers the same packages as of typing but the reminder is nowhere to be found on the website. I guess Smart will just take down the page without leaving details as to why and then would just send sms notifications to users to will try to subscribe.
I have actually never tried using the Flexitime ever, so this news is not going to bother me that much. But for people of who have, I know it's really not good. Right now, whenever I needed, I always subscribe to the current GigaSurf offerings which I really find very nice deal for my usage.
UPDATE: 9/1/2017
Smart has officially taken down the Flexitime page from their website making it officially the end of its life. Let's hope one day that Smart will offer a much better bundle and most of all.. much cheaper.
