One of the local tech brands called Kata Philippines has just unveiled a brand new smartphone offering for the year boasting its own fingerprint scanner functionality, a first from this electronics company. Kata V4 smartphone is announced.
The Kata V4 is not a flagship device though, in fact its specs are entry-level ones. With that, this Kata V4 could be the only entry-level device out there in the local market that sports a fingerprint scanner and probably the most affordable one with this kind of feature.
As you can see in the photo above which was posted by Kata Philippines on their Facebook page, the fingerprint reader is situated on the back panel right below the 8MP main camera. And from what the caption says, it appears that the fingerprint sensor can also be used to take selfie photos which is very interesting. It's a pretty nice looking budget phone actually.
