Yes it's already here in the Philippines, a new variant of Asus ZenFone Selfie smartphone with Deluxe back cover that I spotted at one of the malls here in Davao city. It's a store at Gaisano Mall (GMall) that is already selling this device and I was told by their staff that the units just arrived yesterday. Good thing they let me take some photos of the box.
It might not be clear in the image above, but the one this Asus store current have is in pink and of course sporting that back cover similar to the ZenFone 2 Deluxe edition, a multifaceted polygonal aesthetic.
Apart from the new rear cover looks, the rest of this device is the same Asus ZenFone Selfie we know and love. Sporting the same 13MP rear camera with Laser Autofocus and the same 13MP front facing camera that are both equipped with Asus' very own PixelMaster technology. PixelMaster allows the lens to capture more light or up to 400% brighter than normal shooter producing bright photos even in lowlight scenes without the need of a flash. Now going back to this special version of ZenFone Selfie, the price remains the same as the regular selfie which is at Php11,995. Interestingly, this is also the SRP of ZenFone 2 Laser 6.0 which just recently launched. There's the 5.-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM with 32GB internal storage and a Snapdragon octa-core processor. In case you are not into pink color, there are other color options you can choose from, see image below that was posted by Asus Philippines on their Facebook page a few days ago.
Now you might also have already heard that Asus has recently launched a real ZenFone Selfie Deluxe or ZenFone Selfie Limited Edition as it's officially called. Where this particular version has the same rear design treatment, but instead of sporting just 32GB, there is a default internal storage of 128GB. However, there is no word yet if this Limited Edition will also make its way to the Philippines.
