Microsoft Lumia 550 is the Most Affordable Windows 10 Smartphone Now

Lumia-550

While Microsoft announced the flahships Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones as well as the Surface Pro 4 tablet powered by the latest and well-received Windows 10 operating system, the Redmond company is still not leaving the budget segment of the smartphone market. Microsoft also launched the Lumia 550 and it bears a price tag of just $139, making it the the most affordable Windows 10-powered phone when it becomes available starting this December and will further roll out in some other countries in 2016.

Knowing Lumia 550 is running on Windows 10, this means that early adopters of this device will be able to get their hands on, not just with the latest OS, but also with the newly-overhauled Microsoft Edge browser. I am still to experience this new Edge browser (formerly called Project Spartan), I really want to see if this will be able to bring me back again to using a Microsoft-created internet browser after I (and a lot of users) lost my faith in the Explorer.
Furthermore, Lumia 550 sports the standard smartphone screen size which is at 4.7" all out with HD 720p LCD display. On the inside is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz from Qualcomm, a Snapdragon 210 chip. Complementing the processor is a 1GB RAM to make sure that navigation experience will be as smooth as possible. For storage purposes, users will get a default 8GB space but still expandable via microSD card up to 200GB.
