From time to time there are users who are switching from iOS to Android devices and vice versa. One of the not-so-nice things about migrating platforms is the moving of existing files from the old gadget to the new one especially if users are changing from one OS to a completely different one like from Android to iOS. Thankfully Apple has just created an Android app and an iOS 9 feature that will do the work for them and it's called "Move to iOS".
This is actually not the first time Apple cared for people who wanted to switch to any of their iOS-powered smart devices, they have previously released a step-by-step tutorial on how to move content from Android to iPhone. The Move to iOS app is just a step up product to make the transition a little smoother and more convenient.
Apple said that the new app will help users easily transfer "contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, calendars, wallpaper, and DRM-free songs and books," wirelessly from any Android smartphones to any iOS 9-running devices.
Aside from helping users do the transfer, there's also another feature that will be very helpful where users will be offered download suggestions for free apps that they have on their Android device that have counterparts in iOS platform like Facebook and Twitter, now if they have paid apps installed in the old device if they again have iOS versions those will automatically be added to their App Store Wish List section.
The new iOS 9 has just been officially announced and expected to be released later this year and since this Move to iOS feature and app is part of the new announcement, we can safely say that the Android app won't be rolled out until iOS 9 is released.
