LG Confirms that Leaked Leather-Clad G4 Smartphone was Real

A couple of days ago there was a ton of leaked images showing LG's soon-to-be-fully-announced flagship smartphone called the G4. Prior to the leak the Korean company had confirmed that the G4 will still have the Quad HD display on it like the current G3, and today there's another feature they are confirming again.

If you have seen the recently leaked photos of the G4 that means you already know that the said device will sport leather-covered and interchangeable back panels. The photos do not only show one type of color for the leather part of the smartphone, there are a number of selections to choose from including the non-leathered ones. Some have wondered if those are real leathers or just the faux ones that we have seen on Samsung smart devices. Well today, LG is saying that yes they are real by releasing the image you see above via their Facebook page with the below caption.

Always have authentic luxury in hand.

See the great, feel the great.
Apart from what has been  mentioned above, LG has also revealed that the rear camera will sport a 16MP lens all equipped with f/1.8 aperture. That is a hell of a configuration for a back camera of a smartphone as it is almost rare that we see this kind of rear camera specs, it could be the first one I am just not sure.

Additionally, why LG is doing this? They are the only big company I know that is keep on unleashing official specs of their upcoming main product days ahead of the official announcement. I wonder if there are more to come as we approach the promised April 28 to officially unveil the LG G4.
