Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight Will be Aired by GMA, ABS-CBN and TV5 Altogether on May 2

Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight and Showtime-HBO team up for Pay-Per-View broadcast of a boxing fight are not just two of the things that have happened this year in the boxing industry, in the Philippines there is also an unprecedented event that will take place during the mega fight which is set to take place on May 2 (May 3 Manila time), Solar Sports has announced that major TV networks ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5 will altogether air the bout.

As far as I can recall this is the first time this has happened especially on a Manny Pacquiao fight. GMA Network originally had the rights to air all Pacman's upcoming fight and they just waived that exclusivity just for this fight of the century so more and more Filipinos will be able to see the bout on May 3 Sunday. Pay-Per-View price from local cable providers and other establishments that offer it is expected to go high this time around, so this is a good news for those who won't be able to afford the asking price.

Although the airing will be a bit late (as usual), still a lot of Pinoys will be able to see the fight on the same day. Solar Sports even reported that this unprecedented broadcasting event for the fight was also Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao's request to GMA Network and that the Pambansang Kamao even made the phone call himself to GMA to personally request for it. Good Guy Manny! And thankfully GMA granted it. : )
