Asus has released a new affordable Android smartphone in China, the Pegasus X002. Read more details here.
Asus just unveiled a new smartphone in China that appears to challenge the likes of Meizu and Xioami as the device offers pretty impressive specs with a very low price tag, the device is dubbed the Pegasus X002. The device sports 5" HD IPS Display, powered by a 64-bit MediaTek quad-core processor at 1.5GHz, and 2GB of RAM. All this for only about Php5,800 when converted from its Chinese price tag of CNY 799.
Aside from being equipped with a 64-bit type processor and twice the amount of RAM than a typical smartphone under this same price range, the Pegasus X002 also supports 3G and 4G LTE technologies which I think make the deal a little more attracted. There is 16GB of storage right out of the box and is also expandable via microSD card up to 64GB. Android 4.4 Kitkat is onboard with ZenUI on top. Keeping things powered up is a quite big 2,500mAh battery.
On the back panel sits an 8MP camera with autofocus and LED flash and according to a post on YugaTech, Asus enabled the Pegasus X002's rear camera with technology that is capable of combining multiple shots to produce a massively 30MP photo. On front is a 5MP camera.

Pre-order for this device has already started in China with no definite release date yet on the horizon. Hopefully Asus will also bring this smartphone in the Philippines.
