On Friday, Smart Communications made the big announcement that made every Smart prepaid, Sun Cellular prepaid and Talk N' Text users very happy. These prepaid users will be able to enjoy free mobile internet from these three networks starting today all the way up to November 30. It's not an unlimited treat though but it's far better than nothing right?
Just like any other normal promos from Smart before, any users who want to avail the offer they would need to maintain at least Php1.00 regular balance. So how to register? Simply text FREE to 9999 from your mobile device and wait for the confirmation message. Once registered they can use up to 30MB worth of data for the whole day at no extra cost. That promo is already available and good until November 30, 2014. This free internet is on a daily basis which means if you want to avail it everyday, you will need to register daily after each subscription expires.
So what you can do with the 30MB free data? Smart said you can update your status on popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. You can also visit your favorite blog or update yours or browse latest news through news site like CNN, ABS-CBNnews and GMANews. Accessing emails is okay too.
If there are things you can use the free internet on, there are also things you can't as per policy of the promo. The free 30MB is not applicable on video streaming sites such as YouTube and Vimeo, VOIP, messaging apps (WhatsApp, WeChat etc) and on peer-to-peer file sharing websites like the BitTorrent. However it does not mean you won't be able to access these sites, you can still access them while registered to the promo but a regular browsing fee would occur.
