Teaser Trailer for the SPACE SHERIFF: NEXT GENERATION Now Online

It's been almost 30 years since Shaider was first aired in the Philippines and I was one of those kids of the 90s who got addicted to it and even uo until now I still love the Japanesse Metal Hero/Space Sheriff I grew up with. That is also why I was so excited to know that two new Space sheriff movies are coming out this year and those are Space Sheriff Sharivan Next Generation and Space Sheriff Shaider Next Generation. Even though they won't be released in the country (for now) that still made me excited about it.

And to add fuel to the excitement TOEI company has released a first teaser trailer on YouTube giving us a quick look at the movies. Upon further readings I found out that it won't be released in Cinemas like Rurouni Kenshin and Lupin The Movie, but directly to DVD. Space Sheriff Sharivan NEXT GENERATION will be released on October 10 and Space Sheriff Shaider NEXT GENERATION on November 7. And these two will be a sequel to the previous Space Sheriff Gavan movie that was released in 2012.

If you have noticed in the teaser above at exactly 0:23 seconds, there's Annie's character the same character and actor from the original series back in the late 80s and early 90s. On a post on Tokusatsu Network Annie or Naomi Morinaga said...

“I was approached to play Annie after 30 years and I took my time thinking about accepting it. The saddest part is not having my partner with me,” said Morinaga in a nostalgic tone. Hiroshi Tsuburaya, who played the first Shaider, passed away in 2001."

Sharivan and Shaider here are the new ones or next gen space sheriffs as the title says but Den Iga's character (the first Sharivan) will appear in the movie also played by the same original actor just like in Annie's case. I am pretty sure if the original actor for Shaider (Hiroshi Tsuburaya) is still alive, he will also appear in these new movies.

I just miss those days. Both kids of the 80s and 90s will definitely understand that. : )
