From Director Antoine Fuqua who was also the man behind the "Training Day" and "Olympus Has Fallen" here comes another action-packed movie starring Denzel Washington and Chole Grace Moretz, Sony has released the first trailer for THE EQUALIZER.
This movie is based on a 1980s CBS TV series of the same name created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim. The story follows Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) a former black ops commando whom he faked his own death to live a quiet and peaceful life. He became a Russian Mafia mob target after he saved a young girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) from them.
Although this movie is not going to be released until September 2014, a sequel (the Equalizer 2) is already in the works. As we know most sequels are decided after the first installment is shown and are based on box office success, but the Equalizer has already a sequel decided even before it is released, this is maybe because Denzel Washington is in the film and will likely gain success when it comes to earnings and maybe because Washington and director Antoine Fuqua's proven tandem success when they worked on Training Day.
But based on how the trailer goes, I actually liked it plus Chloe Grace Moretz is there and even if we take Denzel out of the picture I would still watch it.
