The Chinese electronics manufacturer Oppo has announced its entry-level Android smartphone offering called Oppo Joy.
This device sports a 4-inch WVGA display with 480x800 pixel resolution
and is powered by a dual-core MediaTek chip, a Cortex A7-based chip
clocked at 1.3GHz. The RAM is only 512MB which below the now-common 1GB
RAM found in many same level of device in the competition.
Additionally
inside the Oppo Joy is a 4GB storage which can be expanded via microSD
up to 32GB. As for its cameras, on the back there is a 3MP snapper with
LED flash partnered with a 0.3MP front facing camera. This smartphone is
a dual-SIM device which also, on its screen, features a"Glove Mode"
function which allows users to navigate the phone even when wearing
gloves.
Unfortunately,
this Oppo Joy is currently available in Indonesia. The price is very
affordable which for only around $140 when converted to US currency.
There is just no word yet if the Oppo Joy will have an international
release just like the other Oppo Find series of Android smartphones.
