This is Ben Affleck in the new batsuit and his batmobile from the Batman/Superman film
I am pretty sure I was not the only one who was surprised today when the first photo of the new batsuit with Ben Affleck in it was posted online for everybody to have a first look at. Yesterday was the very first glimpse we had at the tarp-covered Batmobile revealed by director Zack Snyder via his twitter account and I thought there would be another treat for us people who are waiting for the Batman vs Superman update which I said I would be at least today, I was right and so here it is! The new batsuit and the part of the front view of the new batmobile.
I did not expect this new batman incarnation would look like a classic one (see the ears?). I thought Zack Snyder would pick up the design from the Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy film which has a look of more of an armor suit than the previous live-action versions of the Batman costume. Many did not like this new costume and many saw it's a bad-ass and cool one including myself.
And then I found out, through some other blogs, that this look is based on Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Return graphic novel (see the image below taken from that novel).
Now this is an enhanced and cropped image of Ben Affleck from TheWrap and it looks even more awesome and kickass one. Although I liked the Christian Bale version of batsuit, this one gives me more feel of what a Batman should look like.
If they also plan to have Henry Cavill's Superman suit to have a new design I just hope that they will not make so much changes to what it looked like in the Man of Steel. Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will star as Clark Kent/Superman and Bruce Wayne/Batman respectively in the upcoming and untitled Batman vs Superman film to be released in May 2016 (that's still a long way to go) and will be joined by Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
