Cherry Mobile has just officially launched its newest budget-friendly smartphone called the Cherry Mobile Emerald. The device is a "premium-looking phone" featuring a metallic finish on its back panel and can be had for only Php2,899. I think this Emerald is the best competitor to MyPhone Rio Fun which was also recently announced at an event in Tagaytay. The differences are Rio Fun is a 5-inch smartphone which is bigger than the CM Emerald but the resolution is not far from each other, Rio Fun has only 512MB of internal storage compared to Emerald's 4GB memory space and the rest are all almost the same. MyPhone Rio Fun is for Php2,999 though.
