Google officially announced the Android Wear OS, a platform specially designed for wearable devices such as smartwatch.
Google is officially joining the wearable technology race as it's formally announced the Android Wear, a new operating system designed for wearable devices. According to reports there are already a significant number of third party hardware providers that have expressed their interest in building their own devices to run Google's new baby. And first to the club are Motorola's Moto 360 and LG's G Watch.
To give us a quick look on how the Android Wear works in action, Google released two videos for us to see which I embedded below. One great thing about this Android Wear is it works just like how you would operate a Moto X smartphone via voice command, you simply initiate it by saying "Okay Google".
According to Re/code, Google said it is currently working with HTC, Asus, Motorola, Samsung and other hardware makers such as Fossil, Broadcom, Imagination, Intel, Mediatek and Qualcomm to further incorporate this OS with their future products and offerings.
