Marvel Confirms Vin Diesel as Groot in the "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Marvel has announced that Vin Diesel is the official voice lender for Groot, a character in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy" movie next year.


After months of rumors, Marvel has officially confirmed that Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel will voice the sentient tree named Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy live-action movie which is scheduled to be released in August of 2014. He just joined Chris Pratt (Star Lord), Bradley Cooper (Rocker Raccoon), Zoe Zaldana (Gamora) and Dave Bautista (Drax), big names right?  

Vin Diesel, for a couple of months now had been posting hints on his Facebook page that he was gonna star in one of Marvel's future movies and some hints or updates were leading to the said movie and character until yesterday he posted on his page the photo of him with Groot (above) then followed by Marvel's announcement. 
I am not really familiar with this Guardians of the Galaxy universe and what the store is about, but having this franchise being in movie adaptation by Marvel and casting well-known stars like Diesel I think it is going to be a big and a must watch movie of 2014.
