The trailer for the upcoming comedy film entitled "Kung Fu Divas" which stars Ai-ai Delas Alas and Marian Rivera has just been released online and in cinemas. Based on what I saw in the trailer for the first time, it's more than just an ordinary comedy film. Hit the play button and see it for yourself.
This is the kind of visual effects that I have been longing to see in Philippine movies and with the Kung Fu Divas, this only tells us that we can really do it. See that battle at the temple? That made me decided right away to see this movie as soon as I can when it hits theaters this coming September 25, 2013.
There is just one thing I ask about this movie, how come it was not submitted for the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival? I am pretty sure this is going to be one of the top earners for this year. We Pinoy love comedy films, movies that won't just make us laugh but also at the same time make us proud to tell everybody that it's worth watching. And who ever selected Ai-ai, Marian and Roderick Paulate for the Kung Fu Divas, just made a hell of a good start for this one. One good thing I admire about our local movie producers is that most of them pick stars from the Kapamilya and Kapuso network, this is a good strategy to attract movie goers of the two network giants.
Kung Fu Divas is a joint production by Star Cinema, Reality Entertainment, and the O&Co. Picture Factory Inc. Directed by Onat Diaz and also stars Edward Mendez and other beauty divas like Ruffa Gutierrez, Bianca Manalo, Precious Lara Quigaman and Ms. Gloria Diaz.
