Cherry Mobile Philippines is fond of posting teaser photos of their upcoming devices and then following by the unveiling after couple of days. Just like the previous ones, there was also a teaser image that was released online for the Superion TV 2 and then you know what happened next. Cherry Mobile announced an Android powered slate called Superion TV 2, and yes it is a follow up device from the first Superion TV that was released earlier this year.
The truth is, if you are not familiar with this device, it is not just a 7-inch tablet, it is also a cellphone and TV on the go at the same time. users of this device can make and receive calls and text messages as it can connect via 3G network with dual-SIM dual-standby capability. For TV, you can enjoy watching local channels while you are on the go ot can't make it home to see your favorite Kapuso, Kapamilya or Kapatid shows. Pinoys are great fans of television programs and series so this is a big factor for this slate to sell more once it hits store sometime this July.
as for the technical specifications of the Cherry Mobile Superion TV 2, there are some upgrades that we see here from its predecessor such as the processor. It is now clocked at 1GHz Dual-core processor from a single core of the previous Superion. Of course the SIM slot, the first one had only single-SIM functionality. Cameras are also upgraded here, it offers 2MP shooter on the back and a VGA front camera. RAM and internal store remain the same at 512MB and 4GB respectively and that it still expandable via microSD card. However the battery is a little bit downgraded here only offering 3000mAh compared to the older brother which had 3,200mAh battery pack. Superion TV 2 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean OS.
