It was on October 23rd when the iPhone maker first showed the iPad Mini to the world measuring 7.9 inches diagonally making it almost half the size of a regular iPad.
It's really slightly bigger than the other known 7-incher tablets from Google and eCommerce giant Amazon which are the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire respectively.
The iPad Mini will be offered in different options just like the previous iPads. iPad Mini will be available in both black and white, WiFi and Cellular models with storage selections of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
For WiFi versions price starts at $329 for a 16GB one, $429 for 32GB and $529 for 64GB. For cellular models that would be $459, $559 and $659 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions respectively.
According to Mashable.com, this smaller iPad will be powered by an A5 Chip which was first introduced in iPad 2.
Resolution is at 1024x768 pixels, not close to Retina display found in the latest iPad models. For Retina Display lovers out there we won't be seeing this kind of feature in this first-gen iPad Mini maybe next
time.
