Boracay Named as the 2012 World's Best Island

Earlier this year we celebrated when Puerto Princesa Underground River was recognized as part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, today we have another thing to celebrate for as the international travel magazine
Travel+Leisure names the Island of Boracay as the 2012 Wolrd's Best Island.

Between December 2011 and March 2012, Travel+Leisure conducted a survey to its readers for their 17th annual "Travel+Leisure World's Best Awards". Philippine's Boracay Island got the top spot gaining a total vote percentage of 93.10 beating last year's top notchers such as Bali and Galapagos which fell as second and third respectively for this year.
