Cherry Mobile Apollo Was Quietly Announced See Specs and Price Here

Last week, Cherry Mobile formally released the Flare 2.0 which bears the tag line "Quad-core ng Bayan" for a price tag of only P3,999. When I heard about the announcement of that Flare 2.0, other reports said that CM plans to out two more Android-powered smartphones before the year ends. And I think this is it, we are down to second to the last smartphone barrage of Cherry Mobile for 2013. Introducing Cherry Mobile Apollo dubbed as "BSI Smartphone for Juan".

BSI (Backside Illumination) Cameras are calibrated for better performance in low-light environment, that's what the new Cherry Mobile Apollo is offering for its owners. The phone sports a 12-Megapixel auto focus w/ LED Flash camera and a 5MP front facing one. For multitasking purposes, Apollo has 1GB of RAM which is not surprisingly bigger than Flare 2.0's 512MB which mainly because of its price. The processor is a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 chip plus a PowerVR SGX544 graphics processor. It is also a dual-SIM phone with dual standby mode.

The display here is quite bigger at 4.5-inch with a resolution of 1280x720 and that an HD IPS LCD one.On the software side, the Cherry Mobile Apollo runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Internally it comes with a 4GB storage space and expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. And of course the battery of 1,800mAh but according to some users over at TipidCP it is actually 2,000mAh. So if you are one of the buyers who can confirm of its battery we welcome you to share it here in the comments section below.

Those specs of the Apollo is quite good for its asking price of Php6,999. And one other good thing about it is this smartphone is now available nationwide, so you can now head over to any Cherry Mobile store and check it out yourself.

One more thing, TechnoBaboy suggests that "There is a good chance that the Cherry Mobile Apollo is the same phone called Cubot GT99" featured in the video below.
