Instagram Cuts Off Twitter Support For Photo Sharing

Now it makes more sense to me why recently I was having trouble seeing my Twitter friends' photos in my stream and most of the images are being cropped or don't show properly, it's because the newly Facebook-owned photo-sharing social network stops integration with Twitter.

The photo-sharing service confirmed that it has disabled supporting Twitter cards that makes the photos show properly on Twitter feed when an Instagram user shares an image. This move according to Instagram's Chief Executive Kevin Systrom was coming from him and to have people use their website where users now have more interactions with each other through likes, comments and hashtags. See Systrom's whole statement that was posted on The Verge here.

Facebook acquired Instagram earlier this year for a staggering amount of $1 billion through cash and stocks, and since Facebook stocks price was falling since it went public the acquisition price fell to less than $800 million.
