Google Announced Nexus 7 Tablet

The rumours were true about Google's new tablet, the Nexus 7. The search engine giant unveiled the Nexus 7 tablet and will be the first device to run on Android's newest software release called Jelly Bean or Android 4.1, the announcement was made on Wednesday at Google Developers' Conference.

The tablet like we mentioned in our previous post, this new Jelly Bean will have a 7-inch screen display, pixels arranged at 1280x800 and a 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad core processor with 1GB of RAM and is being built by Taiwan's Asus. Unlike Amazon's Kindle Fire, Nexus 7 has front facing camera.

Pre-ordering is now available on Google Play but initially for US consumers only and will be shipped mid-July of this year. The price? Very nice at $199 for an 8GB variant. Reports also say that Google will offer a 16GB version for around $250.

Now my question is, will this be sold here in the Philippines? No one knows yet.
