10 Interview Tips That Will Help You Get That Job
Ang interview na yata ang maituturing kong pinakamahirap na bahagi ng paghahanap ng trabaho, ang kaba at takot na magkamali ng sasabihin ay laging nandiyan. Lalung-lalo na kung first pa lang sasalang sa hot seat at wala pa masyadong ideya kung ano ba talaga ang mga ginagawa at mga itinatanong sa isang job interview. At kung hindi ka handa sa mga posibleng itanong sayo o mga sa bagay na dapat mong gawin, maaaring hindi mo na makuha ang trabahong tinatarget mo.
Naaalala ko pa noong bago pa lang kami nag aapply sa mga call center company, payo sa'min ng dati naming mentor na kung may target o gusto ka nang pasukan na kumpanya at first time mo pa lang mag-aapply dapat daw ay mga nasa pang-apat o pang lima ito sa list ng mga applyan mo. 2. "Why Should We Hire You? or Why Do You Want To Work in a Call Center?" This is where you sell yourself and your talents. You may mention your hobbies, skills and experiences that are related to the position you are applying for. One big "no-no" is never give a statement that may sound treating the company as your training ground, for example "I know that medium of communication in this industry is English and because of that I think this will help me improve my English communication skills or enhance my grammar". Magbigay ng mga statements na ang kumpanya ang makikinabang sa sa'yo at hindi ikaw sa kanila. At mga statements na nagsasabing gusto mong magtagal sa ganitong industriya o sa kanilang company. Wag magdahilan na dahil walang magawa sa bahay o may hinihintay lang na papers para makapag-abroad.
3. "Why Call Center or What Do You Know About Being A Call Center Agent? Dito naman papasok ang halaga ng pagre-research about the industy or company na gusto mo pasukin at mga gampanin ng isang call center representative. Madaming article online na nagbibigay ng mga impormasyon tungkol dito.
4. "Maintain an Eye to Eye Contact With The Interviewer" But do not stare! Ok lang ibaling ang ang mata sa iba't-ibang direction wag lang masyadong matagal or awkward sa harapan ng interviewer. It's understandable naman na nakakakaba talaga ang nasa ganitong sitwasyon.
5. "Don't Speak Too Fast" Tendency ay mabubulol ka at mami-mispronounce mo ang mga word na sinasabi mo, bawas points yun pag madalas hindi tama ang pagkakabigkas mo. Iwasan ang mga "Fillers" katulad ng "Uh", "Hmm", "Er" Umm", "You know" etc habang nagsasalita.
6. "Keep Yourself From Talking About Sensitive Topics" Those are Religion, Beliefs, Politics, and in some cases show business. Never argue with the interviewer din.
7. "Back Up Your Statements" When you mention or open a topic make sure that you really know what you are saying. Most interviewers will get follow up questions from what you say. Halimbawa, yung friend ko para lang makabuo ng "connection" o rapport with the interviewer sinabi rin nya na hilig nya ang kwento ng Harry Potter dahil natunugan nya na Harry Potter fan and nag-iinterview. Nang tanungin siya about sa book or tungkol sa kwento, wala siya masyadong nasabi (bad one).
